APPLICATION
RODENTICIDE FOR AMATEUR USE AGAINST RATS AND MICE.
FOR USE INDOORS AND OUTDOORS.
CONTENT: DIFENACOUM 0.005% W/W
USE ONLY AS DESCRIBED ON THE LABEL
DIRECTION FOR USE
Place bait where there are signs of rodent activity, like fresh droppings or near burrows, runways and feeding places.
Place bait points throughout the infested area. For rat infestations use bait points of 50-100 grams. Place bait point 10 metres apart, reducing to 5 metres in cases of high infestation. For mouse infestations use bait points of 10-20 grams. Place bait points 5 metres apart, reducing to 3 metres in cases of high infestation.
Protect bait points from non-target animals and from water, preferably using commercially available bait stations. Where these are not available place the bait on bait trays inside pieces of drainage pipe or under sections of slate, board or corrugated iron.
Make daily inspections of the bait points. Replace any bait eaten by rodents or that has been damaged by water or contaminated with dirt. If all the bait has been eaten from certain areas, increase the quantity of bait by placing more bait points. Do not increase bait point size. Precautions should be taken to prevent domestic animals from having access to the bait.
In case of failure after a long term baiting, beyond 12 weeks, contact a specialist contractor.

INFORMATION FOR THE PHYSICIAN
Difenacoum is an indirect anticoagulant. Phytomenadione, vitamin K1, is antidotal. Determine prothrombin time not less than eighteen hours after consumption. If elevated, administer vitamin K1 until prothrombin time normalises. Continue determination of prothrombin time for two weeks after withdrawal of antidote and resume treatment if elevation occurs in that time.
